My name is Nico Parra, and I am running to represent Georgia House District 109 for one simple reason: our government must deliver for working people, not wealthy and powerful special interests.

My Story
As the proud son of Colombian immigrants, a product of Gwinnett County Public Schools, and a lifelong community organizer, I believe that we can do better. I know that wages are stagnating, the cost of basic necessities are increasingly unaffordable, and that is unacceptable. It doesn’t have to be this way.
That is why I will be laser-focused on a relentless economic agenda centering on affordability for my constituents. From a young age, I learned the importance of working together with those around me, how crucial it is to meet people where they are at, and I will share that spirit of solidarity into the State Capitol. I know that real power comes from the people, and that change only comes when ordinary people come together on a grassroots level to build community power. That is why our campaign will NOT take any corporate PAC money, pander to lobbying groups, and will instead run off of small dollar donors and a grassroots mobilization that Gwinnett has never seen before. We can’t do this alone. We need your help!
